A mighty congratulations to Isaiah & his Poke Bolts on building their very own robot from start to finish! They dedicated themselves to their 6962 after school on campus and during evenings & weekends at home. We wholeheartedly thank the Poke Bolts, Mr. Kinnear, Mr. Wilhite, & Mr. Bailey and host schools Iolani School, Island School (Kauai!), & Le Jardin Academy. Lastly, we wholeheartedly thank Punahou School.

After a 2-year absence from robotics due to COVID… Isaiah returned this Spring for his 4th season! Sadly, his team’s robot broke during practice before yesterday’s qualifying began & it mightily struggled. However, they made a huge comeback today to miss out on the finals by 1 point. Big thanks goes out to Mr. Kinnear & to all of Isaiah’s teammates for all of their hard work, team work, & heart, logging many hours after school. Big thanks also to Hawaii FIRST Robotics & their many tireless volunteers for putting on an incredible production from the venue to the setup to the audio (awesome MCs & DJ!) & everything in-between. Plus, you instantly feel everyone’s passion, dedication, & stoke for what they love to do!

Gigantic congratulations to Isaiah & his Brainy Bots on earning a berth in next month’s State Tournament! Very special thanks go out to his willing, smart, & cooperative teammates & their supportive families, the boys’ school, & especially to Coach Brandon, who is fair, intelligent, generous, patient, & kind. The State Tournament will be a win-win, a celebration of a truly all-time season!
